Fox Farm and Fleet are closing their farms in October and November, The Associated Review reports.
Fox Farm will close at 8 p.m.
Tuesday at its St. Louis, Mo., facility and Fleet will close from 9 p. and 11 p.
Tuesday, Dec. 6, the company said.
Fox Farm is a privately held, 10,000-acre, 50-employee company that is owned by billionaire investor and Fox News CEO Rupert Murdoch.
Fox Farms has been owned by Murdoch since 2011.
Firing of staff is expected to be the first major step toward closing the farm, which has been a source of controversy since it was founded by Fox News founder Roger Ailes in 1996.
Fox News has not announced plans to shutter the farm since the scandal erupted last year.
Ailes has denied all allegations of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct against him.
