CAIRO — Burnt River Farms in California is one of several California farms that are being shut down by the state over safety issues.
The company was the first of its kind in the state.
Burnt River farms in California will close after an inspection by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
The state agency will inspect all of its farms.
The inspection will take place in late September, according to a statement from the California department of agriculture.
The agency says the state inspected the Burnt Rivers farm in October, but it is now in the process of inspecting another one.
