It’s an open secret in this part of the world, but a lot of people are very worried about how the weather will look on Christmas Day.
Ahead of the New Year, here are some of the things to keep an eye on.
What to expect from the New Zealand winter weatherIn the Northern Hemisphere, there will be some milder weather and some strong storms ahead of the winter solstice.
The most notable change will be a low pressure system moving east from the South Pacific.
This is the biggest variable in New Zealand’s weather but it is forecast to move into the Pacific Ocean and then settle back down.
This means some of that rain and snow that is normally forecast for the New England winter will be absent for parts of the country.
This will bring a bit of the coldest and wettest weather in years to the northern coast of New Zealand.
There will also be a few more storms in the region, including a few high-pressure systems moving over the Pacific.
The weather will be mostly cloudy for much of New England.
The best time to check the forecast is on December 31.
